2 weeks ago, I was doing a quick Cost-Co trip for the party Newell Strength was having at the winery the following night.
When I got in line, this dude Chuck came over to help load up my times.
I asked him for a box and he said, ‘For you, anything buddy’.
This wasn’t the first time he came over to seek me out. We always make small talk and he tells me about his time in the state pen. Nice guy though.
Anyhow, he says to the clerk, Melanie, ‘You know who this guy is, right? (Pause) This is so and so’s grandson, you know, the CEO of CostCo…’
And he wasn’t joking. Now it all made sense.
I had to do a double take as they both sized me up and I rolled with it. Why not right?!
So how’s this relate to you?
Have you been feeling like a stranger in your own body, knowing that you want to make a physical transformation but you don’t know where to begin?
Knowing that somewhere under the extra weight, is the slim, trim, old you?
Know that you can regain that, if you just take the first step (remember, it’s not the distance that is the hardest, it’s just the first step that’s the hardest).
In the meantime, I will continue to pretend to be the CEOs grandson:)
