And, through the New  Year, we are running the 30-day jump start for 50% off at only $99!!!! And yes, you can share this with friends.  Simply REPLY to an email with the subject: ‘jumpstart’.

How To Increase Your Confidence

I started lifting weights back in 1995 because of high school football.  I began to take it seriously in 1997 because of a lack of confidence.

I wanted to feel better, to be bigger and stronger and I hoped that it would carry over to other areas of my life.

The plan worked and continues to work.

But, you don’t need to be an iron addict to increase your confidence.

Something I do every single night is called ‘strategic confidence’.

I write down my 3 big wins for the day.  They are usually not these HUGE things, they are small things that I would probably overlook if I didn’t take a few minutes to think about them.

Your brain is hardwired for the negative, all brains are.  Confidence is one of your two greatest assets that you must cultivate and protect.

Begin by focusing on 1-3 wins each night or morning.

It’s really that simple.

Confidence and Failure Go Hand in Hand

When I was in high school, I used to take and chart 500 jump shots per day.  I still have those old charts at my parents house somewhere.

Even after doing this for 2 years, in a game situation, I wouldn’t average above a 50% shooting percentage.

You might be thinking that that was a lot of work without too much payoff.  You’d be wrong.

Yes, failure is built into the ‘game’ but through that failure and all those thousands of shots taken, I became extremely confident in my shot, which carried over to other aspects in my life.

If you want to grow your confidence, you have to be ready to fail, it’s the only way.  In today’s episode of Unlocking Your Inner Strength, I discuss this very concept.  You can take a listen here:
