Magic (2)

Newell’s Rules 1-5

My Grandfather, Leo, tells me that I have always been a deep thinker.

And this means that I am always jotting down notes and connecting ideas.  (Think it, write it, take action….)

Being the thinker that I am, I decided a few months ago to write down 33 rules and tips that I have implemented in my life and I am sharing them with you, five per week.

In today’s episode, I go over rules one through five, some of which include: intense time pressure and the magic of thinking small.

You can take a listen to the episode over here:

The Magic of Life

Two Saturdays ago, Devon and I took Munchie to his first movie.

We saw the Incredibles 2.

It was great to see the smile on his face and being exposed to this new, first time experience.

The cinema has always had a special place in my heart, I used to and still go to the movies by myself.  It connects me to great memories from my childhood and brings back some feel good emotions.

In fact, today as I write this, I have a date with my grandfather, Leo and we are going to see Jurassic Park 2.  We’ve always loved going to the movies together.

I am hoping I can share many more movies with Brax, but I don’t know, that’ll be up to him.  Yet, taking him to his first movie was a magical moment for me and judging by his smile and how he sat there for the whole thing, I think it was special to him too.

Life isn’t about big homeruns, its about getting on base and enjoying the process of playing the game.  One day, the game will end (spoiler alert!), but until then, there will be many millions of moments to capture some magic.
