20 years or so ago, back in my frat days in college, I topped the scales at 260.
I was the strongest dude around campus. Looking back, I was a bit on the fat side.
You see, from the get go, I wanted to be big and muscular. Arnold was my idol.
And then I got into competing and wanting to see how far I could take my physical appearance.
While I learned a lot and wouldn’t trade those experiences for the world, it was a shallow perspective. For a good while, that drive to look a certain way was driven by insecurity.
Now, I was to be the scrawniest I can be, within my set point, yet I am able to have more impact and influence (power) over those in my sphere.
As my muscles have shrunk, my mindset and spirit have grown.
I don’t want to have to take up physical space, rather, I would want someone in the same room as me to feel my positive vibrational energy.
Point being, be fluid. As time goes one, let go. Don’t be married to an ideal.
Be unconventional – Kyle Newell

Contest begins on Sept. 17th and we are only taking 20 teams. Each team is made of 3 people and must include at least one woman and one non-member (can be one and the same). If you are interested, reply to this email or sign up at either Newell Strength location.
