A few weekends ago, we took the kids down to the river behind the house to swim around and play.
I was on Emma duty as Devon explored with Brax, Tank, Mateen and Dax.
And as I had Emma sitting in the shallows, feeling the current, she would reach down, pull up a rock and then hand it to me and then laugh. Every few rocks she would taste and then spit out.
I learned from one of my brain books long ago that infants and the very young, learn a lot by putting everything in or near their mouth. This is the area of their body with the most developed sensory nerve endings.
Plus, she builds her immune system, just as the boys have done, and it worked for them. I believe I remember each of them only being sick just once.
Yes, at the Newell house, they still drink out of hoses, have dirt constantly on their hands and run around barefoot.
Every now and then one of them gets stung by some critter but Devon and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Freedom to explore or freedom from having to explore.
It’s all exploration and it’s all up the individual parent. You don’t have to be just like everyone else. That’s the beauty and the spice of life.
Be Unconventional – Kyle Newell
P.S-My new book is finally out on Amazon. It’s all things fasting, from my point of view. If you want a world class tutorial and ‘how to’ with my system of fasting, then you pick up a copy of the book. And if you like it, please leave a review. https://www.amazon.com/Panda-Diet-Unconventional-Approach-Lasting/dp/0578687372/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=kyle+newell&qid=1592831921&s=books&sr=1-2
P.P.S-Now that we are taking new clients once again, we are opening the doors for July to 12 new trial members. This is just what the doctor ordered for you if you’ve been locked in, with little outdoor time, not enough physical activity and not enough fun. You can apply for a spot at this link and Coach Dana will be reaching out to you. https://hillsborough.newellstrength.com/jumpstart
